Gurgaon has a high concentration of international schools and families who have studied or worked abroad. That can make the admissions conversation more informed, and also more prone to overbuilding. A student ends up with four summer programmes, two research projects, and no clear answer to what the application is supposed to say.
AltView is a small practice. We work with five or six students a year, usually from Grade 9 onwards, on applications to the US, UK and Singapore. Sanjeeta runs the day-to-day counseling. Apoorv handles the analytical side: research, positioning, and how the application holds together.
Many families here are choosing between the US and the UK, or keeping both open. We help them decide what the student can actually carry, and what the application should emphasize, so that the list and the writing point in the same direction.
What we help with
- US and UK direction. What each system rewards, and what a dual application realistically takes.
- Shortlist direction. Reach, target and safety schools built around the student, not a ranking.
- Essays and personal statements. Common App essays, UCAS personal statements, UC PIQs and supplements.
- Activities and positioning. What to keep, what to drop, and how to describe it honestly.
- Interviews, demonstrated interest and financial aid questions.

How we work
We start with a conversation, not a package. The first call is about the student: what they enjoy, what they are good at, what the family is worried about, and what the next twelve months actually look like. If we are not the right fit, we say so.
Most of our work is online. We work with families across Gurgaon and Delhi NCR, and the cohort is deliberately small: five or six students a year, so that the advice is specific to one student rather than a template.
What we do not do
We do not guarantee admission. Nobody credible can. We do not write essays for students. We do not build a profile out of activities the student does not care about. If a family wants a prestige-first list with no safety schools, we will push back.
Questions Gurgaon families ask
Do you work with IB and IGCSE students?
Yes. We work with students across IB, IGCSE, CBSE and ISC, and the board changes the calendar and the transcript rather than the fundamentals of the application.
Do you help with UK applications as well as US?
Yes. That includes UCAS course choices, personal statements, references and predicted grades.
When should we start?
Grade 9 is a good time for direction. Grade 11 is the right time for execution. Starting in Grade 12 is possible, but the options are narrower.
Do you guarantee admission?
No. Nobody credible can. We focus on a strong application and a balanced list, so the student has options they would be happy with.
