College Admissions Counseling in Delhi

Most Delhi families we meet are not short of advice. They are short of a clear answer to a simple question: with so many strong students applying from the same schools, what will actually make this application different?

AltView is a small practice. We work with five or six students a year, usually from Grade 9 onwards, on applications to the US, UK and Singapore. Sanjeeta runs the day-to-day counseling. Apoorv handles the analytical side: research, positioning, and how the application holds together.

Delhi makes the admissions question harder in a particular way. The city has a dense concentration of ambitious schools and ambitious families, so information travels quickly and comparison travels faster. A parent hears about a new summer programme on Monday, and by Friday three families are asking whether they should do it. Some of those choices are useful. Many are not, and the student pays for them in time.

What we help with

  • Shortlist direction. Reach, target and safety schools built around the student, not a ranking.
  • Essays and personal statements. Finding the story first, then making the writing sound like the student.
  • Application execution. Common App, UCAS, UC, Coalition, deadlines, documents and portals.
  • Activities and positioning. What to keep, what to drop, and how to describe it honestly.
  • Interviews, demonstrated interest and financial aid questions.

More detail is on the services page, and the fees are published.

How we work

We start with a conversation, not a package. The first call is about the student: what they enjoy, what they are good at, what the family is worried about, and what the next twelve months actually look like. If we are not the right fit, we say so.

Most of our work is online. We work with families across Delhi NCR and elsewhere in India, and the cohort is deliberately small: five or six students a year, so that the advice is specific to one student rather than a template.

What we do not do

We do not guarantee admission. Nobody credible can. We do not write essays for students. We do not build a profile out of activities the student does not care about. If a family wants a prestige-first list with no safety schools, we will push back.

Questions Delhi families ask

Do you work with students from CBSE, ISC, IB and IGCSE schools?

Yes. The board changes the calendar and the transcript, not the fundamentals of the application.

Do you have an office in Delhi?

We work online with families across Delhi NCR. The discovery call is the first step, and we will tell you if an in-person conversation makes sense.

When should we start?

Grade 9 is a good time for direction. Grade 11 is the right time for execution. Starting in Grade 12 is possible, but the options are narrower.

Do you guarantee admission?

No. Nobody credible can. We focus on a strong application and a balanced list, so the student has options they would be happy with.
